The Head of School at The Rhoades School oversees the management and day-to-day operations of the school, and sets the vision for the school's long-term growth and development.
The Head of School will oversee three campuses and be responsible for supporting the growth and development of all faculty and staff.
The ideal candidate for this role will work collaboratively with all stakeholders to continue Rhoades' tradition of exceptional academic outcomes for gifted students, while continuing to build strong community partnerships and maintain the unique culture that has been developed over the last 40 years.
Duties & Responsibilities Promote Alignment with School Culture & Values:
Keeps the school mission, core values, and school spirit at the center of all leadership /management decisions Ensure a warm and nurturing environment for all students, families, and faculty Provide and model impeccable communication and responsiveness with all stakeholders Serve as the key spokesperson and model for positive public relations, including families and the community/neighborhood; create outreach and partnership opportunities within the community Ensure Exceptional Student Outcomes:
Provide engaging leadership in the delivery and execution of a high-quality program for gifted learners; follow the school's curriculum while providing a supportive environment for creative approaches by teaching staff Ensure accurate and timely academic reporting, conferencing, and record keeping by all campus staff Hire the best talent, and support professional development opportunities Oversee the implementation of a robust social-emotional curriculum that meets the needs of the various grade levels on campus Maintain all necessary activities and records to ensure ongoing WASC accreditation Deliver Key Business Outcomes:
Ensure the effective day-to-day operations of the school, including all campus-level talent management, enrollment, and budget management activities to sustain profitability Ensure compliance with all local and state licensing regulations Ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting of key business metrics Drive recruitment and retention activities at the campus level and in the community Maintain a safe, clean environment; oversee campus and facility improvements Competencies:
The Head of School will be a dynamic, engaging, self-reliant, and entrepreneurial senior leader, accustomed to managing with a collaborative, fact-based approach, with exceptional communication skills and interpersonal warmth.
They will have demonstrated the ability to build strong and open working relationships characterized by mutual respect between superiors, peers, and subordinates within the school.
This leader will be openly communicative of ideas with others and invite and consider input from the school, their peers, and their direct reports.
The Head of School will be accessible and approachable, respecting intellectual integrity and valuing individuality, building and fostering working relationships with school partners from a variety of functions and geographies, thus enabling a partnership mentality with the entire school team.
As a collaborative team player, they will model how to appropriately delegate key responsibilities and transfer some of their own duties and decisions as the direct/indirect reports' number and skill sets grow.

The person in this role must be able to bend, stoop, and perform extensive walking.
Extensive computer time, sitting and driving are necessary in this position.
Air travel may be necessary from time to time.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
