What do I need to qualify? Must be 18 or older Current YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Must crossover to YMCA certification within 6 months Current Certifications:
CPR PRO/AED First Aid O2 The Certifications above must be from one of the following certifying organizations:
American Red Cross American Heart Association American Safety & Health Institute Must pass written and practical skills exam prior to duty Candidates must pass each examinations with no more than one failed attempt Must have visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and physical ability to act swiftly in emergency situations Must have ability to observe participant activities adequately, to enforce safety regulations and to apply appropriate policies and procedures Job Type:

This Aquatics position requires that you can pass a swim test in the water.
This will include treading water for 2 minutes with legs only, swimming to the bottom of the pool (8-10 feet), swimming 100 yards of front crawl, and swimming 50 yards of the following strokes:
front crawl with head up, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly, and sidestroke.
