Assistant Project Accountant at N/A San Diego, CA 92024

Provides fiance and accounting administrative support with data entry, employee inquiries and department coordination.
Assists with the preperation and analysis of financial information, and support financial reporting for one or more Company projects.
Performs data entry support for office and department needs, including time card entry, equipment hours and usage.
Receives incoming telephone calls, messages, mail and packages to office and directs to appropriate person in a courteous and customer service oriented manner.
Greets and assists all visitors.
Assists office staff by alerting arrival or directing visitors to appropriate meeting room.
Supports employee day-to-day inquiries, working closely with human resources and payroll to resolve issues for employees.
Coordinates asset distribution and tracking for assigned employee group or project.
Maintains conference room and facility cleanliness and preparedness.
Monitors conference room bookings and assists office staff reserving and coordinating meetings and catering.
Maintains company and business contact information, seating and event calendar documents.
Assists with service requests and maintenance on office communication technology, including office fax machine, printers, postage metering and specialty shipping vendor portals.
Performs a variety of clerical duties, including making copies, typing memos, correspondence, reports and other documents as directed.
Collects, sorts, date stamps and distributes mail to office personnel and shipping mail to other location staff as needed.
Orders office supplies, stationary and staff business cards, as directed by manager.
Prepares project journal entries and reconciles cost reports for one or more projects.
Compiles and analyzes project pay forms to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy.
Tracks insurance and bond information for all subcontractors.
Assists in month end closing, budget rearrangements, and budge revisions as directed by project team.
Sets up cost codes and cost types for project needs.
Supports field personnel timecard entry, certified payroll and reporting as needed.
Enter equipment time entry and reconcile equipment accruals for project needs.
Supports accounts payable and onsite invoice entry to track project expenses and payments.
Works with project personnel to expedite payment and resolves issues.
Acts as liaison between project team and vendors or subcontractor accounting teams.
Maintains knowledge of Company's values and strategic plan.
Supports published corporate policies.
Perform additional assignments per management's direction.
High School Diploma or GED required.

years finance or accounting support experience required.
Experience using MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel required.
Advanced knowledge of construction industry and project business procedures.
Developing knowledge of subcontractor invoicing and accounts payable cost coding.
Proven initiative, organization and self-prioritization required.
Friendly disposition and customer service attitude required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
